Payments
Stripe Connect powers voucher sale, deposits, and Apple/Google Pay at checkout.
DineOS uses Stripe Connect for all guest-facing payments. The restaurant connects a Stripe account once; from then on, voucher sales, deposits and payouts flow through the restaurant's own Stripe balance with no intermediate hold.
Connecting Stripe
From Settings → Payments → Stripe, click Connect Stripe. You will be sent to Stripe to either create a new account or attach an existing one. On return, DineOS records the Stripe account ID and is ready to take payments.
Payment methods
- Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
- SEPA Direct Debit for European customers.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported browsers and devices.
- Klarna, available depending on your Stripe account's configuration.
Refunds
Refunds are issued from the voucher or deposit detail page. The refund is created through Stripe and reflected on the original payment method. Partial refunds are supported. Refunds are recorded in the audit log along with the actor and reason.
Payouts
Stripe handles payouts to your bank account on its standard schedule for your country (commonly daily or weekly with a rolling delay). Failed payouts surface in the dashboard with a one-click link to the Stripe customer portal where you can update your bank details.
